DAYAW

 

The 11th season of "Dayaw," an internet show that highlights the culture and traditions of indigenous tribes around the country, has begun. The word "dayaw" means "to present or wear with pride, to show one's best with pride and dignity coupled with excitement." Dayaw is a six-part, 30-minute weekly documentary series focusing on the preservation of the country's culture and heritage, created and hosted by Senator Loren Legarda and produced by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC). In several Filipino languages, dayaw means "to present with pride," "to display one's best with pride and dignity paired with excitement," and "to honor."
